Home » Blog » Ohio Haunts: An In Depth Look

OhioHauntedHouses.com recently sat down with Justin And Brooke Farrar of King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses, to discuss what's new at King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses for the 2017 Halloween Season! Located in Oak Hill, this haunted attraction features a number of terrifying scenes throughout their haunted maze that you're sure to get lost in!

What's new at King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses for 2017? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

This year our haunted corn maze is over a mile long with many more actors. We have incorporated a pond, woods, school bus & camper.

What are you most excited about for the 2017 Halloween Season?

We are most excited about the length of the maze as well as our talented actors.

What differentiates King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses from other local haunts in Ohio?

We are different because we are a haunted corn maze that has many different scenes.

How long has King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses's history?

This is our 2nd year doing the haunted corn maze. We decided to do the corn maze a couple months before we opened in 2016.

What's your favorite experience since opening King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses?

My favorite experience is definitely meeting lots of new people who have become close friends and also hearing all of the positive comments from our customers. It's very gratifying.

How long is a typical haunt experience at King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses from start to finish?

The maze itself takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour to get through. Just depends on how fast you walk and how bad you get turned around. From start to finish it could take 1-2 hours, including the wait in line.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses is? Why?

We would say 10 because walking in a corn field at night without anyone scaring is pretty scary.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

Our farm is the perfect place for a haunted attraction. We both love to scare people and have some awesome friends that are just as passionate and love to help. Favorite part is hearing the customers talk about how much fun they had and how good it was.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses?

We love to use animatronics. It helps catch people off guard. They will be focused on animatronic then a real actor pops out to scare them.

Can King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses accommodate large groups? How many people can experience King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses together as a group?

We don't like to send large groups together at one time. We try to send no more than 6 people to a group because it's hard to scare those in the back. We do have special pricing for groups of 12 or more, but we will not send them all in at one time. UNLESS of course they insist, but we will warn them that they might not all get scared.

Does King Farrar Field of a Thousand Corpses offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?

Groups of 12 or more are $10/person.
