  • Email Verified Nice experience

I and a group of friends visited Camp Deadwood. They actually take you for a bus ride and drop you off at an offsite location. It was an awesome way to build the creepiness. The haunt was spectacular in its attention to details. We walked slowly soaking in all the terrors that came our way. Of course, few from our team screamed and ran in one place. It was a nice experience to say the least. The actors were professional. Their costumes/makeup looked real. The food and drinks were nice too. The $25 ticket rate was not exactly cheaper to my liking though. Recommend this place.

  • Trail had some chilling scares

An exciting experience for me and family. The bus ride itself was a creepy experience, and it sets the tone. The trail had some chilling scares, and creepy actors who are willing to even chase you if required. My wife screamed non-stop through the trail. There were also some good props and hidden scares that you can’t anticipate. Don’t take coffee in your hands. It won’t stay there for long. Overall, we had a fun night. Scare lovers should check this place out.

  • Email Verified Creative with lots of hidden scares

This one gets #1 ranking by me. The scenery was great, and the actors stayed in character while trying to scare the crap out of you. The set up was creative with lots of hidden scares. The ride up to the trail itself was creepy. Once you get down from the bus, you’ll see the trail is lined with tiki torches. So you know which way you’re heading. The two buildings along the trail had some nice jump scares. To sum it up, the whole experience was amazing. I will be back next year.

  • Email Verified Completely spooky

An interesting bus ride to take us to the exact haunt. The ride was bumpy and completely spooky. It gives you the taste of what is in store for us at the camp. The trail was lined up with torches to guide us. There were two buildings that are bizarrely set up. We got panic stricken inside one of them and were guided out by an actor. It was such a nice gesture. The walk in the woods brought back your worst nightmares and you will never leave the side of a person next to you. Totally recommend this place.

  • Enjoyed the place

It was totally creepy and we enjoyed it. It is surprising to learn that they had just started and had come up with interesting turn out of people. This place sure has a great potential. They have promised to set up more attractions next year. The bus ride was really nice and you have all kind of creatures making its way at you. The waiting place had beverages and a food truck. They also had a fire place to keep us warm. Quite hospitable. We will definitely try a more refined haunt next year.

  • Really loved it

Really loved the walk in the woods. I and wife walked slowly experiencing every bit of terror that came our way. We are from India. So the concept of a haunted place was a bit of new territory for both of us. May be because of the fact that we did not know exactly what to expect, we never tried to anticipate or evade any of the scares, and that made the experience quite enjoyable. Yes, she jumped few times. But overall, it was lots of fun. Ticket prices were reasonable, and the food was awesome. We will come again for sure.

  • Email Verified Awesome opportunity/potential. Good luck!

Bus ride was awesome, added to the creepiness as you travel from paved to gravel to dirt to get to your final, dark destination ‘in the middle of nowhere’. The first ‘house’ was initially creepy going up to, but once inside was way too annoying- loud, too much fog, and too much flashing; if there is anything of value to see in there you cannot – even the knob to get out. It is meant to be disorienting, but was over the top near the stage of any longer you would have a headache. Second was pretty cool, loved music, clowns, and the 3D. Graveyard and wolves were cool too. I think I remember a third, but do not remember anything in particular about it. Love the babies and clowns in the tent, that guy was a hoot! It is a bit of a hike for the 2nd half, and some long lulls in any action to the end (move the chainsaw outside?) which could be attributed to terrain too, cannot have people scared and then rolling down a hill. Once it is over, you have to catch the bus back… a group had ‘just missed it’ and had a long wait probably c.45-mins though they said it was an hour (we waiting ~20-25) of just kind of standing around/sitting in the dirt (put some benches in as someone mentioned?). Overall, Camp Deadwood was not great, and definitely was not bad either, it was good/OK. No big screams or truly fearful moments, a couple jumps, and an ‘AH!’ or two out and some laughter out of our group (2-adults/2-12yo). The actors did well throughout giving it a bonus boost in the fun factor, and setting along with costumes/makeup were great. It is the 2nd year and has some super potential, will more than likely visit again in 2019 to see it grow. If you are in the Mansfield, Ashland, Wooster, Mt. Vernon vicinity, please give it a glance and chance to thrive – definitely if you score a group discount ticket (which I added to 'value')!

  • Email Verified Scary experience

Do you love to go up and down the hill to experience a scary night? Then this is the right place for you. A place that is quite weird yet good enough to spend a night with your family and friends. The camp was creatively set that make you believe in the spirits and the other world. The terrain was rugged and most of whom who are not used to this will find climbing an uphill task. I had to take short breaks to catch my breath. The shuttle ride was happening with props and actors on display. Overall, recommend this place as the perfect Halloween outing.

  • Dark and creepy

Me and three friends reached the haunt after a 4 hours drive... The scary show only lasted for 20 minutes.. but the first 10 minutes is well enough to scare most of the visitors.. I loved the maze.. the trail was dark and creepy and a perfect setting to scare the visitors.. which they did in fact perfectly. Actors did a great job.. their costumes/makeup was pretty creepy... Both the halls were designed well… good props and great visual effects to scare every type of visitors.

  • Email Verified Wonderful haunt

It is a genuine haunted house and fun packed activity zone in Ohio. I went there with a group of 10 people. At Camp Deadwood, there were lots of food trucks, carnival games and face paintings. There were lots of skilled actors and music. This gave captivating impression of horror to our group. I strongly recommend this place to have best in class Halloween experience.

  • Email Verified Frightening tour

Actors are dedicated; they get really close to us but don't actually touch you which is appreciable thing to do. Hayride was a drive through your worst nightmares. I had a frightening tour and screamed for the whole time.

  • Very long wait

Even though the attractions were fine I don’t like to go back to this hell place. Very long wait with horrible service. Staff was neither friendly nor interactive. I would give 3 for attractions and 1 for service.

  • Email Verified High potential scares

I with my three cousins went to the Camp-Deadwood... It is definitely a haunted house with high potential scares. The sets were awesome. The shuttle ride up to the camp was an amazing experience...with every minute, it builds up the suspense.. the actors were awesome.. they’d done their work sincerely. The maze was incredible and the actors behind the woods scared us out of our wits…my younger cousin screamed several times. Overall, it was a well-equipped and terrifying haunted house. Highly recommended for all scare lovers.
