What to Expect
The most deranged inmates have escaped from maximum security prisons across the nation and claimed The Ohio State Reformatory as their new hideout. What goes on inside, it’s hard to tell. After one too many unsolved murder cases and creepy clown sightings, the authorities have left these psychopaths to themselves. But every Halloween, gates open to this hideout from hell — BLOOD PRISON.
Enter if you dare. Know that unsuccessful jailbreaks will cost you far more than the admission price. Get in, and get out — if you can!
Hours of Operation: Gates open at 7 pm

Scare Factor: Fun Factor: Haunt Value: Scaled back, but still fantastic!
While the haunt is scaled back due to COVID, the sets and new costumes for the cast are fantastic! Very well done, as always!

We had an awesome time! Although we waited 4 hours in line it was totally worth it! They are very mindful about only allowing small groups at a time as well as sanitation between groups. The only thing that irked us was a group of people who completely jumped the line and weren't held accountable. Can't wait until next year!

Worth the cost not the wait
There should be set times for parties so we don’t have to wait as long. The line was very long and there was a wait of about four hours. This haunted house was not covid friendly. Many people were no wearing masks and actors got very close sometimes. Overall though it was a great experience. If your looking for jump scares there aren’t that many but if you want to just be scared the whole time this is definitely the place.

Had an awesome time
Reformatory has a lot of history and it's rumored to be haunted anyway so I was already a little spooked but the actors did a great job for the most part, only thing that sucked was the long wait in line but I don't know how you could really help that

2019 Best Season To Date
2019 was the best season i have experienced to date. i have been there each year so far since Mr. Amesquita transformed OSR into Blood Prison. Everything from set to makeup was the best i had seen in all 3 years. Im sad to say i wont be visiting this year but will return next year.

Waste of money
With all the HYPE, I was very disappointed. I was a customer about 8 years back. It was amazing and scary. since the children were under age the past few years. they were of age this year. All 4 kids had several comments when we were finished ( lame! that's it? that was bad!) absolutely not scary at all. We attend approximately 10 haunted attractions a year. By far I feel this was the worst one in the past few years that we have visited. the only BONUS was with the tickets we purchased, we can come back and do a self guided tour (free). Now the line was a different story. We arrived 15 minutes before the doors opened. It took 1 hour 40 mins before we got to enter. With that being said, if it was a " good scare" I wouldn't have had a complaint. The sad part the monsters outside were more scary and entertaining then the monsters inside.

Email Verified you will scream, you will laugh. why so serious? HAVE FUN!
With it's many scenes of mayhem, this place is #1 for a reason. Other haunted houses are jealous and obviously are doing their best to shake them down through means of fire alarm pulls, bad reviews, pettiness and saying false information. here i had a blast with my group of 12. some might think it's easy but you try it screaming at 3,000 people in one night. Contact them of you would like to work here 18+ only and a clean background. WE HAD A BLAST! free parking, 25$ for a basic ticket that includes the extra thrill of a touch pass. food vendors, and dress for the weather duh you nit pickers! 111 haunted houses in ohio this is the place to be. ''86'' in solitary was one of my favorites.

Email Verified Worth the cost, not worth the wait
This was our first time going to this haunted house. They had a phenomenal actor (the Warden's Wife) that could screech like a banshee! The event itself was a little weird. Some of the props didn't make sense (why is there a carnival at the prison for example, and why was there a queue in the middle of the haunted house where I stood for 10 minutes watching Sin City???) I like to have a cohesive theme, even if the theme is nothing, and I thought this was a theme of the prisoners have escaped and you needed to get out, so it was pretty odd some of the choices. However, it was fairly decently executed and pretty fun. What WASN'T fun, however, was the wait. We drove over 2 hours to get there and waited in line for 5 hours to go through the house before having to drive 2 hours back. I would definitely recommend they institute some kind of reservations system to help people. Also, by the time we went through the house, it was 2am. We were in a large group, and the group behind us caught up to us. It felt like we were almost running through the house, not because we were being chased, but because the other group was too close. This was made worse by the fact that there weren't that many actors in the house (for all I know some of them went home). All in all it was pretty good, but there was a lot of room for improvement.

Buy the fast pass
I had a group of 6 show up at 7:10pm on 10/19. We thought 6 was too early so we waited an hour. The line was LONG at 7. We did not enter the actual haunted house until 11:30pm. The wait was unbelievably long. If you buy the fast pass, you get in much more quickly that it's worth the few extra $. The haunted house was OK. You are in groups of 20, so unless you are at the very beginning, it's just ok. The building is cool. I imagine actually touring it would be more worth your time. Just my two cents.

Dissapointed
I give this year a 3 overall. The decorations were awsome, with many dark halls leading you into unknown. I had bought a touch pass and only got touched the total amount of five times throughout the whole haunt. If actors were more aggressive and not so much out of place, I think it would make this haunt experience better.
