  • Top Notch Must- See attraction

They don't mess around here. The sets in both the haunted schoolhouse and laboratory are hollywood quality. You're not in a back yard haunt with black hallways and dollar store clowns here. The actors focus on entertaining, whether scaring, getting a lugh, or grosing you out. The masks and makeup are impressive. Costuming is very well done too. You can tell that attention to detail is emphasized here, and it shows. The lines get very long here, but it's because this place is legendary. It's been running strong for just under 50 years. They have special events throughout the year as well.

I got touched in the haunted house a couple times, made me feel super uncomfortable and didn’t like that aspect of it. Other than that the school house was scary and the lab part wasn’t that scary.

  • Fearsome

This one was quite different and league above others. Set in a school and a laboratory, it was test of your fear and how you are able to tackle it. Had beer to cool my mind before facing any kind of challenges. The waiting area was fun filled. It had plenty of characters on loose with whom I had good photo ops. There were vendors, merchandise and beverages. There was a parents zone where we relaxed while the kids had fun. The school was scary and had enough actors donning fearsome role. On the whole a great entertainment.

Simply amazing, in terms of the scare factor as well as the overall concept and set design. The attention to detail deserves special mention. Startling scares were in plenty. There were also nice props, animatronics and special effects that will creep you out. My wife liked the swamp more than anything else. Laboratory had the creepiest of faces and makeup I’d ever seen. The staff was friendly throughout. I will come again with my friends next time.

  • Email Verified Three floors of absolute terror

Three floors of absolute terror. I and my GF had a blast. It had plenty of jump scares, props, special effects and grotesque figureswaiting to scare the crap out of you. The eerie setting inside the rooms itself will creep you out. The laser swamp illusion and other staging with real water were awesome to say the least. The laboratory also had some of the creepiest faces I’d ever seen. Ticket rates were not too expensive I thought. Overall, it was an exhilarating experience for both of us. Will visit this place again for sure.

  • Superb haunt with amazing visuals

It was one of the best haunted houses I’d ever visited with my BF. I was impressed by how well everything was set up. There were amazing visuals such as lasers that appeared like swamp water, and other staging that involved real water. The story behind the school house itself could creep you out. There were few nerve jerking terrors that made me scream and run. Characters with disfigured face in the laboratory virtually freaked us out. I have not seen anything creepier than this. The actors’ were professional and they stayed in character. Ticket rates were reasonable for the scare factor it offers. Beer was awesome too. I will come again next year for sure.

  • Email Verified Unique theme

A school and a lab will be the last thing on the mind when we think of a haunt. And hence, this definitely was a unique theme. It was scary to the extreme and the set was very creatively designed. The actors were interactive and engaging. They had us confused, scared at the same time. School was complete with all the classrooms, library and halls. The costume and makeup artists excelled. The work was completely professional and suited the theme so well. The scenes were new and innovative so it got us unaware. Best way to spend your Halloween. Good job executed well.

  • Scare factor was awesome

Not for the weak heart and certainly not for kids. You will be aware as you enter the school and the lab. A pretty unusual way to spend the Halloween. But it is not what you expect it to be. The place is haunted and you feel it in the air. It was so surreal and authentic. The scare factor was awesome and that’s what Halloween is all about. The actors in weird makeup and grabs grab everybody's attention. And, it is stuck in your mind. Had a fantastic evening with the spirits and wine. Definitely will come back next year.

  • Email Verified Many realistic scares

I and my cousins had a scary great time. I have not screamed so much in any of the haunts that I’d previously visited. The haunted house had so many realistic scares, animatoronics and props. The amount of work and details that goes into the scenes is commendable. My cousins screamed non-stop in some places. The laser swamp was my favourite. I also liked the electricity in the laboratory. The long-fingered creature virtually creep us out. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will recommend this haunt to everyone in Ohio. Must visit.

  • Email Verified Wow!

Was here last weekend and was blown away by how much the place changed! I don’t get scared to easily but there were several times where the haunt/actors got me! Very awesome place and can’t wait for next year to see what else the new owners add!

  • I am in love!!!!

I love Halloween. So much so that I drove 5 hours to this haunted house. I had heard about it for YEARS and decided that I should just get in the car and go. We went on a busy Saturday night and at first I was discouraged because of the long line but I was surprised by how quickly it moved. We had travelled up to the area the previous day and decided to check out another haunted house but it was quite disappointing, especially compared to this one. There are stairs, many of them, and I don't have the greatest legs anymore so I was not thrilled when I had to walk up them. But, it was well worth it. The stairwell was very creepy and I could hear the screams of everyone walking through the house. I've been through many haunted houses and yet I was still holding onto my husband's arm.The schoolhouse was fantastic. Absolutely stunning. I have nothing negative to say about it. The scenes were incredible and terrifying. Plenty of great scares and it's filled with real life actors so you're not paying to see machines jump out at you. The lab was great, as well. I think the schoolhouse was better only because I found it more scary but that doesn't mean the lab wasn't worth the price. They are both terrifying in their own right. The only thing I didn't like about the lab was the amount of time spent outside waiting to get inside. It wasn't awful by any means but I wouldn't be too happy if it were raining. It was great for the scares and the scenes were awesome! Both houses were amazing. Both super scary and super cool to walk through. They aren't too short or too long. They are filled with real life actors that know how to scare you. They even had a food truck outside that my husband decided to spend twenty dollars on, but the funnel cakes were well worth it. The staff was all super friendly and we had a great time. I can imagine that people are discouraged by the price but let me assure you that IT IS WELL WORTH THE PRICE. It's amazing, it really is. If I didn't live so far away from it, I would be back this weekend. As for children, they should be able to walk through just fine. I'll probably bring my grandchildren when they are a little bit older. The actors aren't invasive, they are scary but they didn't touch me or chase me.

  • Good for teenagers or young kids over 6.

Overall a good experience. Not to scarey for for kids over 20+. Good lighting effects. Price was a little high.

  • Could be better, could be worse.

This was my first haunted attraction- ever, and I'm 17. Maybe it's because I'm out of their consumer range or because I've been watching horror films since 3 years old, but it could have been better. I went with my cousin who's 14 and she was really scared, so it's a definite yes for younger kids and teens, but for me it was a little boring. The scarier of the two is the Laboratory hands down, mostly because the actors have props that make noises (drills, chainsaws, etc.) that they like to put right next to your ear, haha. I'm glad I went to it at least once, but I don't know if I'll be returning any time soon, if at all. I don't want to pay $26 on attractions that don't make me scream.
