Hammel House Inn
Waynesville, OH 45068
The Hammel House Inn has been proclaimed one of the most haunted buildings in town. The rumored to be most haunted room at the inn is Room #004. The shadowy spirit of a young merchant who was killed in the inn has been seen here, as well as in the dining room. A ghostly black cat has also been seen in the hallways, as well as various other spirits in period clothing. Disembodied footsteps have been heard and voices have been reported as well.

My husband and I booked a room for the weekend before I know that it may be haunted. During the night, we could hear sounds downstairs as if light objects were being thrown down on the tables or across the room, with popping noises in the dining room. Even though we booked the room for the weekend, Room 4, my husband didnt want to spend another night, even with the free breakfast. The inn is very nice and has excellent food, good enough reason to visit the Hammell Inn.
